Anarchy Guppy Records is a lo-fi record label that was created by Chris Guppenberger while he was working on his Ph.D. at Purdue University. He began looking for music to study and relax with. Finding a very limited amount of music in this genera he decided to go his own way and begin to develop artist friends to produce their music.
Anarchy Guppy partnered with Hit The Lights Productions in Jacksonville, Florida for music production and have started building a powerhouse collection of original Low Fidelity Music and Ambient Space Music.
LoFi comes in many names; chill, chillvibes, aesthetic, lofi hiphop, lofi trap, boombap, vaporwave, new wave jazz, jazz hop, DIY, lofi chill, and low fidelity.
Our ambient music is steeped in deep space dark matter and may or may not contain any beats. We focus on music that will relax you and help your mind travel to places unknown.
We restrict to working with artists in our small list of genres as our field is highly specialized and very niche.
We treat our artists like a close family. We help them succeed and do not take advantage of them like record labels have known to historically do. We assure you they are treated fairly, given fair compensation for their work, and have a say-so in the music they release. We encourage creativity, inner-growth, and professional development.
